Claire was one of the highest scoring members in our most recent MyZone club challenge and she often left Lacey’s owner Justin frustrated trying to catch her! She throws herself at everything with maximum effort and therefore is always achieving awesome results. We’re proud to have you as a member Claire, Great work champ!
 
1: How long have you been a member of Laceys?
From June 2016
2: What changes have you noticed in yourself since being a member?
I have become way more motivated and driven to work out than ever before. In the first few months of training at Lacey’s I dropped about 4kg and I feel stronger, leaner and more energised!
3: What sort of training/classes do you do at the gym, and what do you like about it?
I have mainly been doing the boxing classes and Lacey’s 47. I have really enjoyed learning about the technique and fitness needed for boxing! To be honest, I was a bit nervous about going to my first boxing class at Lacey’s as I knew nothing about the sport, but the coaches are awesome and so welcoming, they helped me through my first class and now I can’t stay away! The 47 class I enjoy for overall fitness and they are different every time! So you don’t know what you’re going to get!
I have also done a few one on one sessions, which I found really helpful for getting the techniques of boxing down, and for pushing my fitness!
4: What do you think makes Laceys different/special from other gyms you’ve been to in the past.
I have been to normal gyms previously and just found myself becoming bored and unmotivated. I also found that I didn’t push or challenge myself. I was never getting the results I wanted.
But at Lacey’s everybody is so friendly and the positive energy running through the place makes it so easy to become motivated and to push yourself! It is such a great place to work out and have fun doing it!
5: What’s your most memorable moment at Laceys?
I did the first 6 week boxing challenge last year, which included early morning runs, lots of training and sparring, which I have never done before, and getting punched in the head was new to me!
At the end of it, we were paired up with an opponent for a sparring night.
I have never done anything so physically and mentally challenging but after getting out of the ring it felt amazing to have made it to the end of the three rounds and the 6 week challenge!
